Mansion Sports – Cesc Fabregas is reportedly targeting a major second raid on Chelsea this summer after Como explored a potential move for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who is no longer the first-choice option.

The Spanish goalkeeper has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of World Cup winner Emiliano Martinez.

Fabregas Seeks to Capitalize on Chelsea Exodus

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Como manager is ready to offer Sanchez an exit route from Stamford Bridge as the Italian club looks to continue its ambitious recruitment drive.

After previously securing a £30 million deal for Trevor Chalobah this summer, Fabregas is now relying on his positive relationship with his former club to facilitate another major transfer.

The interest from Lombardy comes amid major changes in Chelsea's goalkeeping department. The Blues have reportedly warned Sanchez that he risks being left out of the first-team squad if he does not secure a move away from west London.

Alonso Turns to Martinez After Sanchez Errors

The sudden availability of Sanchez was triggered by a series of disappointing performances that forced Xabi Alonso to take decisive action.

Although he initially backed his compatriot, Alonso approved Martinez's £7.5 million move from Aston Villa after the Spanish goalkeeper was responsible for both goals in the narrow 3-2 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Argentine international was immediately introduced into the starting lineup for Sunday's 4-3 victory over Brighton, confirming Sanchez's new status as the third-choice goalkeeper behind the former Arsenal player and reserve goalkeeper Mike Penders, who returned after an impressive loan spell at Strasbourg.

Martinez did not take long to make his presence felt, expressing his desire to restore the club to its former glory.

After his debut, Martinez stated: "I spoke with John Terry and Petr Cech. I know how big this club is and what we want to achieve this season. I came here to help. I had seven great years at Aston Villa. I came here to compete and try to win the Premier League."

Como Faces Competition for Spanish Goalkeeper

Romano confirmed that Como are among several clubs monitoring Sanchez as they look to replace Noel Tornqvist, who is increasingly close to a move to Monza.

Although Fabregas wants to add another goalkeeper, the Italian club's primary focus remains on signing a new striker before turning its attention to options in goal.

He explained: "Sanchez can leave Chelsea and several clubs are exploring the conditions of his move. Como's priority remains a striker, then they will assess the goalkeeping options."

However, the opportunity to recruit a goalkeeper with Premier League experience who is currently no longer a first-choice option at Chelsea could prove too attractive for Como to ignore as the transfer deadline approaches.

Sanchez Faces Major Decision

Sanchez now finds himself at a crossroads, with reported interest from clubs in England, various European countries, and the Saudi Pro League.

After losing his place under Alonso, the Spanish goalkeeper must decide whether to fight for a position that currently appears difficult to reclaim or accept the project Fabregas is building in Serie A.

Como could also represent an appealing option for the Spanish goalkeeper, with the Italian club competing in the Champions League this season and offering him an opportunity to showcase his abilities on the biggest stage against Europe's elite clubs.
