Mansion Sports – Harry Kane has been described as the “best number nine in the world,” with his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Fraizer Campbell explaining to GOAL in an exclusive interview why the Bayern Munich striker has cemented his legacy among football’s all-time greats. 

Kane is often compared to Robert Lewandowski for his prolific scoring instincts while embodying the relentless drive and professionalism of Cristiano Ronaldo.

From Loan Spells to Global Stardom

Few could have predicted Kane’s meteoric rise during his early loan spells from Tottenham to Leyton Orient, Millwall, Leicester City, and Norwich City. Yet his patience and determination eventually paid off as he broke into the first team in North London.

Kane went on to become Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer, netting 280 goals for the Premier League club before joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. His exceptional individual standards have remained unwavering in Germany, where he has already scored 107 goals in 112 appearances.

The long-standing curse of a trophyless career was finally broken at the Allianz Arena, as Kane lifted the Bundesliga title in the 2024–2025 season. Now, his next ambition is to add more prestigious honors—both at club level and with the England national team.

Campbell is convinced that Kane now belongs among football’s global elite, with the 32-year-old standing alongside names such as Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Aguero as one of the finest strikers of his generation.

Speaking to GOAL via Casino.org, the former Spurs forward said when asked about Kane’s place among the legends: “He’s right up there with the best. Lewandowski is probably the most similar to him. He’s just as good, maybe even better in some aspects.

“That’s a testament to his hard work. He’s transformed from a backup player at Leicester in the Championship into the best number nine in the world. The numbers don’t lie, and that doesn’t happen by accident—it’s the result of dedication, effort, and consistency in doing what he does best: scoring goals week after week. For me, he’s definitely one of the greatest of all time.”

Kane Compared to Cristiano Ronaldo for Work Ethic and Consistency

Despite being 32 years old, Kane shows no sign of slowing down, and many believe he could continue playing at the highest level until his late thirties or even forty—much like Cristiano Ronaldo, who now stars for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo’s rise to global superstardom was built on tireless discipline and determination, and Kane is seen as possessing similar traits. 

Though not known for blistering pace, physical dominance, or flamboyant skill, he has become a legend through intelligence, precision, and unwavering commitment.

When asked if Kane shares similarities with Ronaldo, Campbell replied: “Yes. Ten years ago, people might have said he’s just a decent striker. He didn’t have extraordinary speed or fancy touches, but he has stood the test of time. He knows exactly where the goal is. Technically, he’s perfect—his left and right feet are equally strong—and he has consistently scored 20 to 30 goals every season for the past decade.

“All of that comes down to hard work. He deserves his place among the world’s best number nines—and perhaps as one of the greatest English strikers ever. It’s been fantastic to watch him go this far and keep delivering goals consistently. Now he’s doing it in Germany, just as he did in the Premier League. It’s great to see an English player leaving his mark on the global stage.”

Kane’s Future Remains Uncertain

Although Kane continues to excel for Bayern Munich and England, his short-term future remains the subject of speculation. Reports suggest that his contract includes a release clause that can be activated in 2026.

It is believed that an offer of around £57 million ($75 million) could trigger a potential transfer, sparking rumors of a possible return to the Premier League or interest from Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
