Nick Woltemade Set to Leave Newcastle United for Serie A Club

Mansion Sports – Juventus will loan Nick Woltemade from Newcastle United this season. Several media outlets reported the news on Monday evening, including Sky Deutschland and Fabrizio Romano.

Romano confirmed the move with his trademark phrase, "here we go". The transfer expert stated that Juventus and Newcastle have reached a verbal agreement.

Under the agreement, Juventus will pay a loan fee of £3.5 million to Newcastle. That amount is equivalent to slightly more than €4 million. No obligation to buy has been included in the agreement.

Woltemade Has Yet to Agree to the Move

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland reported that Woltemade himself has yet to agree to the temporary move. Both clubs expect the forward to give his approval shortly, after which he will undergo a medical examination.

Newcastle signed 24-year-old Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart a year ago. The transfer involved a fee of no less than €75 million.

So far, he has yet to truly convince at the Premier League club. In 53 competitive appearances, the German player has recorded 11 goals and 6 assists.

During the summer, Woltemade remained part of the Germany squad for the World Cup. He only appeared in the Round of 32, coming on as a substitute.
