Mansion Sports – Manchester City announced on Wednesday through the club's official website that they had signed Ayyoub Bouaddi from French club Lille.

The five-year contract ties him to the English club until 2031, with the transfer completed and international clearance obtained.

At just 18 years old, Bouaddi arrives at the Etihad as one of the brightest young talents in world football.

He has made 96 appearances in a Lille shirt and has featured in eight international matches for Morocco.

The midfielder broke into Lille's first team in the UEFA Europa Conference League, three days after his 16th birthday.

He gradually established himself and became one of the key figures in the French club's midfield.

City sporting director Hugo Viana praised the young player's ability and backed his potential.

Bouaddi attracted attention with Morocco at the latest World Cup. Deployed as a defensive midfielder, he impressed with his composure and ability to control the tempo of the game.
