Price Hikes Tenfold! Arsenal Targets Leverkusen Wonderkid

Mansion Sports – Despite his young age, the forward has already impressed with his style of play. The Gunners are now reportedly showing interest.

Arsenal Interested in Christian Kofane

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal have expressed interest in Christian Kofane from Bayer Leverkusen. Reports indicate that the Gunners are just one of several English clubs to have included the Cameroonian forward on their wishlist.

Kofane joined the Werkself last summer from the Spanish second-tier club Albacete. In his debut season, he immediately made an impression in the Bundesliga and was subsequently selected for the Champions League, where Bayer were eliminated by Arsenal in a head-to-head clash.

In total, the 19-year-old has scored 15 goals in 39 competitive appearances for Leverkusen.

Bayer Seeks to Increase Transfer Fee More Than Tenfold

Less than a year ago, Bayer paid only €5.25 million for Kofane – and now stands to make a substantial profit.

According to reports, the Bundesliga club is asking between €60 million and €70 million for the forward from wealthy English clubs – more than ten times their initial investment.

Only for Kai Havertz (who moved to Chelsea in 2020 for €100 million) and Florian Wirtz (who is set to join Liverpool in 2025 for €125 million) has Bayer received more money than what is now reportedly possible for Kofane.

Potential Replacement for Christian Kofane at Bayer: Nicolo Tresoldi

Arsenal already have a stock of forwards including Viktor Gyökeres, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus, but Kofane is likely seen as a long-term investment given his age – and therefore remains of interest to the Premier League leaders.

Should Kofane leave the Bundesliga in the near future, reports suggest that U21 international Nicolo Tresoldi from Club Brugge could potentially replace him at Leverkusen. However, the forward is also linked with Borussia Dortmund.
