Real Madrid Beat PSG to Secure Yan Diomande in Over €100 Million Deal!
Mansion Sports – Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sign RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande following intensive negotiations.
The highly sought-after winger is scheduled to travel to Spain this week to undergo a medical examination and sign a lucrative long-term contract.
Real Madrid Reach a Major Agreement
According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for a transfer fee "well in excess of" €100 million for Diomande.
Previously, the Spanish giants saw their opening bid, valued at around €100 million, rejected by the German club, which demanded a significantly higher fee for the 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger.
Romano confirmed the major development through his X account by writing:
"BREAKING: YAN DIOMANDE TO REAL MADRID, HERE WE GO! Agreement reached tonight with RB Leipzig for a transfer fee exceeding €100 million for the Ivory Coast winger.”
“Diomande will fly to Madrid this week to undergo a medical and sign a contract until June 2031."
Paris Saint-Germain Withdraw from the Race
Before the agreement was finalized, Diomande attracted significant interest from several European clubs, particularly Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Romano also revealed that the French champions have officially ended their pursuit of the player.
Although PSG had previously reached a personal agreement with Diomande, the club decided not to compromise its principles regarding financial discipline and squad balance in order to complete the transfer.
With the French club withdrawing from the race, Real Madrid's path to securing Diomande's signature became wide open.
A Rapid Rise from Relegation to a Record Transfer
Diomande's career has progressed remarkably quickly, attracting interest from Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, although none of the three clubs were willing to spend more than €100 million.
During the 2024–2025 season, the young player started only six matches for Leganes as the club was relegated from La Liga, scoring two goals.
RB Leipzig then made a bold move in 2025 by paying €20 million to bring him to the Bundesliga. That decision proved to be the right one, as Diomande immediately delivered outstanding performances.
Last season, he made 46 appearances and scored 15 goals in all competitions for the German club.
What Comes Next?
Diomande is expected to arrive in Madrid this week to complete the mandatory medical examinations and officially sign his contract, which will run until June 2031.
Once all administrative procedures have been completed, the talented forward will join his new teammates in preseason preparations under the guidance of José Mourinho.
With uncertainty still surrounding the future of Vinicius Junior, Diomande could immediately play a key role for Real Madrid next season.
