Mansion Sports – Tottenham Hotspur have identified Roberto De Zerbi as the primary target to replace interim coach Igor Tudor, and are reportedly willing to offer the Italian manager a “significant bonus” if he takes over as the permanent manager immediately.

It is said that De Zerbi prefers to wait until the summer before joining another club, but Spurs are attempting to persuade the former Olympique de Marseille manager to soften his stance.

Tottenham Want De Zerbi to Rescue Them

In a season marked by instability, Tottenham have turned their attention to former Brighton & Hove Albion and Marseille coach, De Zerbi.

The Italian manager has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Tudor, whose brief tenure ended by mutual agreement following a poor 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

That result left Spurs in a precarious position just one point above the Premier League relegation zone.

Although De Zerbi is currently without a club, he was initially hesitant to enter a relegation battle mid-season and preferred to assess whether Spurs could survive before deciding on his next move.

However, a significant obstacle remains, as Dyche is believed to require at least an 18-month contract, while Tottenham may prefer a more flexible arrangement.

An emotional option for supporters remains Mauricio Pochettino, but his current commitments with the United States men’s national team ahead of the upcoming World Cup make a sensational return highly unlikely at this stage.

Other names mentioned within the decision-making circle include former Monaco coach Adi Hutter and even an internal temporary solution involving veteran defender Ben Davies.
