Mansion Sports – Zinedine Zidane has confirmed his future as a head coach. The French football legend has officially signed a contract to manage the France national team until the middle of 2030.

The news was announced by Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed the development through his official Instagram account on Tuesday evening.

According to Romano, the agreement has now been fully completed. Zidane, 54, will officially take over as the successor to Didier Deschamps, who has concluded his 14-year tenure as head coach of the France national team.

Zidane Ends Speculation Over His Coaching Future

The appointment brings an end to years of speculation, particularly following the remarkable success Zidane achieved during his time as Real Madrid head coach from 2016 to 2018, before returning from 2019 to 2021. He won three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles as well as two La Liga championships.

Didier Deschamps Leaves a Great Legacy with France

Deschamps ended his tenure after enjoying a distinguished career with the France national team.

During that period, he guided France to the 2018 FIFA World Cup title, led them to a runners-up finish in the 2022 edition, and then secured a fourth-place finish in this year's most recent edition.

As a player, Zidane achieved numerous major accomplishments throughout his career. He led France to victory at the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000, and won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in 2002.

His playing career came to an end in the 2006 FIFA World Cup final against Italy with the infamous red card after headbutting Marco Materazzi.
