Mansion Sports – A source from Inter Miami has confirmed the club’s position regarding the possibility of signing Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

This comes after reports emerged suggesting that the American club had entered negotiations with the Belgium international midfielder.

The source explained in a statement to "ESPN" that Inter Miami had never initiated contact with De Bruyne nor held any discussions with the Belgian midfielder, despite various reports linking him with a move to the club.

Instead, the source stated that Inter Miami will focus on maximizing the potential of their current squad in the Leagues Cup and upcoming Major League Soccer matches.

Focusing on the Current Squad

As the club that is home to Lionel Messi, the South Florida side recently introduced their new signing, Casemiro, during an event in front of supporters at Chase Stadium, before the player made his first home appearance on Saturday night.

Casemiro joined on a free transfer and signed a contract running until the end of the 2027 Major League Soccer season, with an option to extend until June 2029.

Inter Miami’s New Signings

Inter Miami have also completed the signing of Ecuadorian defender Fricson Caicedo on loan from Costa Rican club FC Moravia FCM until the end of the 2027 Major League Soccer spring season.

Sitting second in the Eastern Conference standings with 38 points from 18 matches, Inter Miami enter the next phase after drawing 2-2 against Columbus Crew in their most recent match.
