Arsenal Ready to Offload Gabriel Jesus This Season for Julian Alvarez
Mansion Sports – Gabriel Jesus is increasingly likely to leave Arsenal this summer as the club prepares to reshape their attacking line.
Although he initially made a strong impact after arriving from Manchester City in 2022, limited playing time and his substantial weekly salary have created clear challenges as The Gunners attempt to sell the Brazilian amid interest from Juventus and AC Milan.
Arsenal Set Price Tag for Brazilian Forward
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are open to selling Jesus for around £30 million this summer. The 29-year-old forward, who joined on July 4, 2022 and remains under contract until June 30, 2027, has seen his influence within the squad decline.
Overall, he has made 122 appearances for the club, scoring 31 goals and providing 22 assists.
However, persistent knee problems have significantly disrupted his rhythm. With Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz positioned well ahead of him in the pecking order, the Brazilian’s playing time has dropped dramatically. The club are prepared to approve his departure in order to create valuable financial flexibility.
High Wages Become Obstacle for Serie A Giants
Although the £30 million asking price is considered reasonable, the striker’s lucrative contract and reported wages of £265,000 per week have become a major issue for interested clubs.
This season, he has been limited to just 26 appearances across all competitions, recording five goals and two assists in 913 minutes played.
AC Milan are reportedly interested in securing his services, while Juventus have also been strongly linked with the player. The tactical nature of Italian football is viewed as a suitable fit for his playing style.
However, unless he is willing to accept a significant wage reduction, a move to Italy will be extremely difficult for the experienced forward.
Attacking Overhaul and Potential Destinations
Arsenal are showing uncompromising ambition, with reports suggesting they would even consider parting ways with both Jesus and Havertz to finance a major move for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez.
If a move within Europe does not materialize, a return to Brazil remains a realistic possibility for Jesus.
The striker has previously spoken openly about his emotional connection to Palmeiras and his strong desire to return there one day.
What’s Next for Arsenal?
Before entering the summer transfer market, Arsenal remain fully focused on securing a historic double.
Currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table with 79 points, holding a two-point lead over Manchester City, they are set to host Burnley before travelling to face Crystal Palace the following Sunday.
After that, a monumental Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain awaits on May 30.
