Juventus Officially Dismiss Igor Tudor, Appoint Massimo Brambilla as Interim Head Coach
Mansion Sports – Juventus have officially announced the dismissal of head coach Igor Tudor following a string of three consecutive defeats in Serie A.
The Turin-based club confirmed the decision through an official statement released on Monday morning local time.
Brambilla to Lead Juventus Against Udinese
In its announcement, Juventus confirmed that NextGen coach Massimo Brambilla will take over as interim manager of the senior squad. He will be in charge of the Bianconeri for their upcoming Serie A fixture against Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday night.
“Juventus FC announces that today the club has relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head coach of the men’s first team, along with his staff consisting of Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic, and Riccardo Ragnacci,” the club stated.
“The club also announces that, on an interim basis, responsibility for the first team will be entrusted to Massimiliano Brambilla, who will be on the bench for the match against Udinese. Juventus would like to thank Igor Tudor and his staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past months and wishes them the best in their future endeavors.”
Poor Run of Results Behind Tudor’s Dismissal
Juventus’ decision to part ways with Tudor comes after a series of disappointing performances that saw the team lose three consecutive league matches and fail to score in their last four fixtures.
The club’s most recent victory came on September 13, when they defeated Inter Milan 4–3 at the Allianz Stadium. Since then, results have sharply declined, putting increasing pressure on Tudor’s position.
Under mounting scrutiny, Juventus’ management ultimately determined that a change was necessary to halt the team’s downward trajectory and restore competitiveness in the league.
A Brief and Unsuccessful Tenure
Igor Tudor was appointed as Juventus head coach in March 2025, replacing Thiago Motta. Over the course of 24 matches in charge, the Croatian manager recorded only 10 victories.
Despite signing a contract valid until June 2027 — the same duration as his predecessor’s — Tudor’s inconsistent start to the season left the club’s hierarchy with little choice but to act decisively.
Currently, Juventus sit eighth in the Serie A standings with 12 points from eight matches, a position far below expectations for a club with ambitions to challenge for the title and reestablish dominance in Italian football.
Juventus Focus on Recovery Under Brambilla
The appointment of Massimo Brambilla as interim coach represents a strategic effort by Juventus to recalibrate the team’s performance and restore confidence within the squad.
Brambilla, who has been managing the Juventus NextGen team, is known for his modern tactical approach and strong rapport with young players — qualities that could prove valuable during this transitional period.
The upcoming clash against Udinese will serve as Brambilla’s first test at the helm of the senior side.
A victory in that match will be crucial not only to end the club’s current slump but also to revive morale in the dressing room ahead of a demanding run of fixtures in the coming weeks.
