According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, everything is in place for Modrić to sign a new contract with AC Milan.

The midfielder is currently on holiday but has already given a clear indication to the club's management that he intends to remain for the upcoming season.

The contract extension will keep Modrić tied to the club for another year.

Modrić, who is now 40 years old, will soon travel to Australia to join his teammates for the pre-season tour in preparation for the new campaign under head coach Ruben Amorim.
