Lazio Move Closer to Securing Daniel Maldini
Mansion Sports – Various sources report that Lazio are moving closer to reaching an agreement to sign Daniel Maldini from Atalanta.
The transfer is projected to take the form of a loan deal with an option to buy valued at approximately €14 million.
Nevertheless, activity in the transfer market does not stop there, as there remains the possibility of other players leaving the club.
Lazio’s internal situation is currently in a state of turbulence after head coach Maurizio Sarri, together with supporters, voiced protests regarding the direction of the club’s transfer policy during the January window.
This dissatisfaction emerged following the departures of Matteo Guendouzi and Taty Castellanos, which were considered not to have been balanced by a clear strategy to strengthen the squad.
The Daniel Maldini Agreement Awaits Final Details
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, DAZN, and several other media outlets, the deal to bring Maldini from Atalanta is now only awaiting the completion of final details.
The proposed transfer structure consists of a loan with a €1 million fee, accompanied by an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for a fee in the region of €13 to €14 million.
Under certain conditions, this purchase option could become an obligation. Daniel Maldini, the son of AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini, is said to be able to undergo a medical examination in Rome soon, potentially as early as Monday.
Previously, Maldini had also been linked with Juventus, but he is believed to prefer Lazio due to the greater opportunity for regular playing time at the Stadio Olimpico.
Potential Departures of Other Lazio Players
While attention is focused on Maldini’s arrival, Lazio are also continuing discussions regarding the potential departures of several players.
Alessio Romagnoli is reported to be persistently pushing for a move to Al-Sadd, despite the club having issued an official statement asserting that the player is not on the transfer list.
In addition, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo PedullĂ has revealed that Tijjani Noslin is currently the subject of an offer from Torino.
If the transfer is completed, Noslin would reunite with his former coach, Marco Baroni.
These developments indicate that Lazio’s transfer market dynamics are far from concluded, with the possibility of significant changes to the squad composition in the near future.
