Mansion Sports – Paris Saint-Germain are ready to approach Ajax once again in their pursuit of Mika Godts.

According to De Telegraaf, the French giants are preparing a significantly larger offer after the Amsterdam club firmly rejected their initial proposal.

PSG initially submitted an offer worth €40 million, plus an additional €5 million in potential bonuses. Ajax never considered that amount sufficient and immediately rejected the proposal.

Following the 3-1 victory over Shelbourne in the third qualifying round of the Conference League, reports emerged that Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of backing down in their pursuit. 

Godts scored against the Irish side, failed to convert a penalty, and received a standing ovation when he was substituted a few minutes before the match ended at the Johan Cruyff ArenA.

PSG Prepare a New and Bigger Offer

PSG's latest offer is reportedly valued between €50 million and €55 million. That amount would increase the fixed transfer fee by at least €10 million compared to their initial offer.

However, that figure still falls below Ajax's asking price. Around the Johan Cruyff ArenA, there have been discussions indicating that the asking price for the 21-year-old winger is in the region of €60 million to €65 million.

Ajax Involve Jorge Mendes in the Negotiations

To push the transfer fee as high as possible during the negotiations, Ajax have involved Jorge Mendes.

The renowned Portuguese agent, who reportedly offered his services five months ago, is working on a no-success, no-fee basis and will only receive payment if Paris Saint-Germain meet the desired valuation.

AZ and NEC had also previously approached Mendes to assist with the potential departures of Kees Smit and Kodai Sano. It remains unknown whether he is actually involved in the process of Sano's increasingly imminent move to PSV.

Godts Have Reached a Personal Agreement with PSG

Godts are also reported to have reached a full personal agreement with PSG, where a contract running until the middle of 2031 or 2032 is waiting for him.

Ajax will face PEC Zwolle on Sunday, but with growing interest from Paris, it remains unclear whether the Belgian player will still be part of the Amsterdam club's squad for that match.
