Instead of immediately seeking a new role, the Portuguese coach intends to take a break during the 2026–27 season.

He aims to prioritize his professional development abroad, while firmly ruling out the possibility of returning to coach in his home country.

Although his name continues to be linked with several vacancies across Europe, including in the Premier League, he is not in a hurry to enter a new environment. He intends to study developments in elite-level football without daily distractions.

As part of this self-imposed break, Amorim plans to travel and spend time with other top-level managers who serve as professional benchmarks for him.
