PSG Furious with Juventus After Failed Agreement for Kolo Muani

Mansion Sports - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly furious with Juventus general manager Damien Comolli after negotiations between the two clubs for the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani collapsed.

The French striker ultimately completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the transfer window.

Juventus’ Efforts to Bring Back Kolo Muani

Throughout the summer, Juventus made persistent efforts to bring Kolo Muani back to the Allianz Stadium following his successful loan spell during the first half of 2025.

The Bianconeri presented several proposals, ranging from a loan with an option or obligation to buy, to a straightforward loan deal without a permanent purchase clause.

Despite these attempts, no agreement was reached. Juventus eventually shifted their transfer strategy, signing Lois Openda from RB Leipzig and Edon Zhegrova from Lille, both of whom were officially announced on deadline day.

PSG’s Firm Demand for a Permanent Purchase

According to reports from L’Équipe and Calciomercato.com, PSG made it clear from the outset that any loan deal for Kolo Muani must include a mandatory purchase clause valued at around €60 million.

This stance was justified by the fact that Les Parisiens had spent €90 million to acquire the striker from Eintracht Frankfurt just two years earlier.

However, Comolli reportedly attempted to restructure the deal, proposing an obligation to buy for €30 million plus an additional €10 million in bonuses, which would only be triggered if Juventus secured Champions League qualification next season.

Growing Tensions Between PSG and Juventus

This last-minute change in approach is said to have infuriated PSG’s directors. French media reported that Comolli is now viewed as having “created an enemy” in Paris due to the breakdown in talks that ultimately paved the way for Kolo Muani’s move to Tottenham.

As a result, relations between the two clubs are expected to be strained, particularly in the context of potential transfer negotiations in the future.
